I’ve always been fascinated by the complexity of the human body. I started to wonder - what’s under the skin? How does this marvelous machine work?

These questions, combined with my love for helping people, lead me to MRU where I obtained a diploma in massage therapy.

Massage therapy is my tool to help you experience relief from aches and pain, destress, and maintain a healthy lifestyle.

In my spare time, you might find me napping, succumbing to a YouTube rabbit hole, attending choir practice, hiking, swimming, or hanging out with friends.

My common name is Eugene and I am registered with Massage Therapist Association of Alberta. As a sports teacher and competing sailor, I was always interested in how the human body works. After moving to Alberta, I was treated for my own low back problems and found that massage may benefit my athletes, and would help me to become a better coach.

While I was studying massage at Mount Royal University, my first client was my wife who suffered from endless hours at her desk. I found that I could help her not just by easing off muscle tension, but also by guiding her in how to stay healthy.

Better posture and changes to workplace ergonomics provide improvements that last much longer than any other treatment, especially if you can back them up with healthy physical activities or exercises.

In 2017, I decided it was time to make a career change and embraced the opportunity to serve others by training with the Reflexology Association of Canada, and became fully certified in 2018. Choosing to study with RAC ensures the top standards in education and practice for all my clients.

I have been asked many times, “Why Reflexology?” I have found, through personal experiences and now professional experiences, that Reflexology can provide the much needed relief through working the body reflex that ails you, on the part of the body that does not. It is non-evasive and so relaxing.

Check with your health benefits provider for your coverage with a Registered Canadian Reflexology Therapist.

Dr. Jensen was born and raised on a farm between Ponoka and Rimbey. As a young athlete, he discovered the body’s incredible healing power that chiropractic can release. After some soul searching, he knew chiropractic would be the perfect profession. It focuses on holistic, natural care and allowed him to help athletes, children, seniors and everyone in between. With a service-oriented nature and a love of assisting others, he knew chiropractic would be a fulfilling career.

The first step was to attend Red Deer College and the University of Alberta to obtain his undergraduate education. Then, Dr. Jensen moved on to Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa. He graduated with president’s list honors in 1999. All he learned there gave him the foundation he needed to practice immediately and he opened two successful practices in the USA before moving home to Alberta to open Langdon Chiropractic and Wellness Centre.

I was introduced to massage when I was 17 after a bad car accident. I had terrible low back pain that wouldn’t seem to go away, and being a teenager that was used to bouncing back, I was frustrated and confused at the discomfort I was in on a daily basis. That’s when my chiropractor at the time suggested massage. I was anxious at first and wasn’t sure what to expect, but my massage therapist was very knowledgeable and made the whole experience very comfortable and I benefited greatly from the treatments. It was soon after that that I became more passionate about yoga and other exercise as forms of good preventative medicine.

I decided to become a massage therapist because I was passionate about the possibility of helping people the same way my first massage therapist helped me. As I continued to grow as a massage therapist, it became more apparent that massage was just one piece of a much bigger puzzle for health care. For that reason I started to look for a team of like-minded individuals that would approach health challenges and muscle pain with not just a single modality, but multiple ones. And that’s how I found the Langdon Chiropractic and Wellness team in May of 2015.

I truly believe that with the proper combination of massage, acupuncture, chiropractic care, nutritional balance and an exercise and stretching routine, most musculoskeletal problems are treatable and preventable.”

I went to CDI college in Calgary, AB and attended the Advanced Massage Therapy Program. I started working as a massage therapist in 2012 and am currently employed in both Langdon and Calgary. I am a registered massage therapist through the Remedial Massage Therapists Association and I am therefore covered through all insurance companies. I continue to improve my skills through continuing education courses and my own exploration of technique.

Dr. Stordy’s chiropractic story began in her last year of University. She went to a chiropractor for a recent shoulder injury and through the regular chiropractic adjustments the doctor also helped her body heal from back pain, severe and frequent headaches, and a few other conditions that had not been helped by other medical treatments. Nothing else had changed in her life so she knew that it was chiropractic care that made the difference.

Dr. Stordy’s chiropractor educated her on the power of the nervous system and that if the spine was properly aligned and functioning correctly, her nervous system would work better resulting in improved overall health. She was so amazed with this truth and shocked that this information is not shared in mainstream health care that within a few months of chiropractic care she had applied to go to chiropractic college!
